Telesales techniques and strategies

Telesales can be difficult when a telesales agent doesn’t properly prepare for a sales call, when they don't know how to present the product effectively, and when they don't ask for a commitment from the potential client.  

It is crucial in any telesales professional’s career to take the needed steps to learn the techniques involved in cold calling and in closing the sale. 


1. Before a telesales agent makes a phone call to a potential customer, they should prepare what they are going to tell the listener, and decide on an objective for the sales call.

Once a potential customer is listening, a telemarketer must provide value to their call, and state their purpose clearly and in a persuasive manner. A popular sales technique to use is to ask questions of the customer that stimulate an emotional response.
